What the academy saves
When you sign in with ChatGPT, the academy receives a site-specific user identifier, email address and, when available, display name. Completed lessons and baking journal entries are saved to your account. Journal notes are shown in your signed-in learning area and are not published to other learners. Kit, monthly-box, seasonal-box, class and membership interest forms save the contact details and preferences you submit.
How your information is used
Your information supports learning progress and contact about your specific kit, box, class or membership interest. It is stored with the website’s hosting provider. The academy does not collect payment card details and does not automatically send confirmation emails. Owner-only checkout tests use Stripe’s hosted test environment; public paid enrollment is not open.
Your choices
You can edit or remove saved interests from My learning, mark lessons incomplete and remove a journal entry by clearing its text and saving. For deletion or other privacy requests, contact Sol & Sahara Goods through the contact options on solandsahara.com, mentioning Rise & Ritual.
Kit activation and owner records
Kit activation saves a hashed code, its batch reference, the account that redeemed it and the activation and expiry dates. Full unused codes are shown only when the owner creates them. The owner can revoke a code and its remaining learning access, including when resolving a refund or replacement. We retain a limited attempt counter to prevent repeated code guessing. The owner studio can view and export submitted interests for follow-up; it does not send emails automatically.
Purchases take place separately in the Sol & Sahara Goods shop. This academy does not store payment card data or automatically enroll you in a recurring plan.
Stripe billing tests
When the owner starts a test through the academy, we send the signed-in account’s email and display name to Stripe to create a test customer. The academy stores the Stripe customer, checkout and subscription references, membership status, confirmed period and a limited webhook processing record. Test payments never grant live paid membership access. Payment details are entered on Stripe’s hosted pages. Billing information is associated with the site-specific account ID; matching an email address alone does not establish ownership.
On this browser
The first-loaf bake planner saves its settings, step checks and timer locally in your browser. This information does not sync across devices and can be removed by clearing this site’s browser storage. The timer does not send notifications or emails.
Membership and class availability
Displayed kit contents, kit prices, paid membership prices and benefits are proposals. Physical monthly and seasonal boxes are planned separately from digital memberships, with exact contents, billing and cancellation terms to be provided before sale. The proposed starter kit is a one-time shipment with 30 days of Home Baker access; no recurring membership would begin without an explicit opt-in. Joining an interest list is not a booking, does not reserve capacity and does not authorize recurring charges. Confirmed dates, inclusions, cancellation terms and final prices must be provided before paid enrollment opens.
Learning content
Lessons are educational guides and starting formulas. Results depend on ingredients, temperature and equipment. Follow manufacturer instructions for hot cookware and appliances. Check ingredient allergens and handle food appropriately. The academy does not claim that its practice formulas are the bakery’s tested retail recipes.
Interactive lesson practice
When you choose Save my practice, we store the lesson’s step checkmarks, checked answer and confidence rating with your learning account. These records help you resume practice and find skills to revisit. They are separate from marking a lesson complete. Unsaved practice remains only on the open page.
